Gaithersburg, MD, December 16-18, 2014

The purpose of the Summit is to identify challenges, research, implementation issues, and lessons learned in manufacturing and quality assurance where a digital three-dimensional (3D) model of the product serves as the authoritative information source for all activities in the product's lifecycle. The technical thrust areas this year are 1) NIST MBE program overview, 2) MBE in other industries, and 3) MBE Tools Update for Implementation, 4) Engineering Modeling Support to Acquisition, and 5) Institutes for Manufacturing Overviews.

At this event Capvidia will demonstrate support for the new QIF ANSI standard. A live demonstration of  CreoVidia will show how to create QIF files from PTC/Creo.   Capvidia’s SDK will also be presented supporting development of new applications using QIF and the integration of QIF into existing ACIS based metrological applications.
Capvidia will also demonstrate products supporting MBD Visualization and Analysis, CAD Model Validation, Data Interoperability, CAD Quality Assessment in accordance with MIL STD 31000 standard, and tools supporting the preparation of a detailed and complete TDP (Technical Data Package) for the adopters of MBE concepts.
